A very good scope for a beginner astronomer. Priced at the XT6 is over $100 cheaper than the larger XT8 and offers better value and performance than the smaller XT4.5. I'll admit I'm no astronomer but I spent a good deal of time researching scopes and finally decided on this one. In no time, the telescope was assembled and ready for use. It made one family very happy Christmas morning. Hope this helps. Be ready to buy a few more eyepieces. I was a bit intimidated by the size/height, but it is actually pretty easy to carry around once you figure out how to how balance it while carrying it. With this eyepiece I can easily see the rings of Saturn and the Cassini division, as well as some texture on Saturn when the air is still. My only complaint is it only comes with one lens. (The lens is excellent quality.) Delivered with a broken carrying handle. My excitement for astronomy has been renewed. If you are in the market, this is a great start. I loved that it came with starry night and it really helped an amateur like me delve deeper into astronomy. I have been researching the perfect telescope for me for almost a year now. The views of Jupiter and Saturn are astonishing in this thing. Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2018. Solid build, super solid, reasonably portable, mirrors have rarely needed collimating, great price. Most of my viewing issues are due to light pollution. I am very satisfied with this scope. It’s a very good telescope that is popular with beginners and highly recommended. I was in a hurry and didn't really understand the Easy View feature. The Telescope - The scope is well built and once assembled, it should be collimated (my secondary mirror was out of position). Before you buy this scope, don't expect to see like Hubble. The 6 inch aperture is big enough to grab a large portion of the deep space objects, while the 1200mm focal length gives good magnification values. This is my first telescope, and after a bit of research I decided on this one. Will update comments after after I contact Customer Service and using it over next few days. It is an amazing deal.
